Your Child Is in Great Hands

About Us
Harlequin Nurseries first opened its doors back in 1996 when Managing Director Angela Eakins, found herself to be unhappy with the standard of childcare that was then available for her daughter. Harlequin House Nurseries began with Harlequin House on the southside of Glasgow and was shortly followed by Harlequin Gold, which at the time was Scotland's only 24 hour nursery. Soon after Harlequin Little Jesters was opened in Newton Mearns and then Harlequin Kindergarten was later opened in 2003.
Harlequin Kindergarten in Brunel Way (off Murray Road) is one of the largest nurseries in East Kilbride.
Open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm with earlier start options available for those parents with specific work commitments and although it is not guaranteed, we are happy to apply for Partnership funding on behalf of parents/carers.
Harlequin has over 25 years in the field of childcare and we believe that our reputation for quality and consistency is second to none.
Health & Safety
We work in partnership with the Care Inspectorate, Environmental Health, and other partner agencies to ensure we meet all current regulations in relation to Health and Safety in the workplace.
We carry out annual portable appliance and electrical safety testing. We conduct daily playroom and environmental risk assessments to ensure children are accessing the highest standard of play and learning environments.
All staff are qualified first aiders. The nursery has a named first aider with overall responsibility for dealing with accidents and incidents within the building. The outdoor space is enclosed, well maintained and benefits from CCTV, ensuring all our children are kept safe.
